Safer Search Engines
Here are some great search engines for you to use when you are looking up things on the Internet. Whether it’s for homework or just for fun, you are bound to find what you are looking for on one of these sites!
Remember, different search engines work in different ways so make sure you choose an appropriate search engine for what you are looking for. For example, the cbbc safe search only searches information on the bbc website. However, ‘Swiggle’ searches the whole of the Internet for what you are looking for. It is always worth trying several search engines until you find what you are looking for.
Remember, even on a ‘safe’ search engine, like the ones below, you can sometimes find inappropriate webpages or images. If you ever see anything online that makes you feel uncomfortable, make sure you shut down the screen and tell a trusted adult as soon as possible.
