At the Discovery school we cover the wide concept of feelings and emotions through our PSHE lessons and with interventions when appropriate.


One of the main concepts we cover in this area is Self- Regulation as it is essential for learning.  Self-regulation is the ability to identify and cope with disruptive feelings or behaviours. Being capable to recognise the behaviour will give us the opportunity to think before we act.   Children trying to cope with too much excitement or not at all will struggle with focusing on task.
