Hawking Class is a Year 5 class located in Pavilion Two, on the left hand side as you come into the door. Miss Stapley and Mrs Stiff teach the class.
Being in Year 5 comes with a growing responsibility, plus lots of learning fun! The children are embarking on their journey through Upper Key Stage 2, therefore they are required to set a high standard of behaviour and manners as role models to the rest of the school.
Like all other classes in The Discovery School, our class was named after a famous scientist or inventor. In our class, this scientist was the world renowned Stephen Hawking. Click on the image below to learn more about the namesake of our class and what he is famous for:
We have been studying the art of Henri Rousseau and created our own class montage of his works, 'Tiger in a Tropical Rainforest.' We chose the media we wanted to work in from the options of; watercolour, pen, pencil, ink and chalk pastel.
We had an opportunity to manipulate the Ohbots by making them move and talk using coding.
