Berners-Lee Class

Berners-Lee class is a Year 4 class situated at the front of the school next to the library.  The class teacher is Mrs Ingles with the wonderful teaching assistants Mrs Lake and Mrs Healy. They are also supported by Mrs Densley, Mrs Steer and Miss Harris.

In Year 4 we are encouraging the pupils to be very independent in their attitudes and learning.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email Mrs Ingles at the following address;

Like all of the classes in The Discovery School, our class was named after a famous scientist or inventor.  Our class is named after the inventor of the World Wide Web, Tim Berners-Lee.  Two pupils in Berners-Lee last year painted a portrait of Mr Berners-Lee which was even signed by the man himself!  It is displayed in the school gallery just outside our classroom. Important Reminders

Below are some reminders that you may find helpful:

  • On Monday and Friday we have our PE lessons.  Monday is our outdoor PE slot and Friday is our outdoor PE slot. Please can every child have their PE kit in school on these days. This should include a red t-shirt, a pair of blue shorts/trousers and plimsolls/trainers. Any child with earrings in are advised to take them out at home to prevent them being lost. However, if your child is unable to remove their own earrings please can you provide them with medical tape to secure them for PE lessons.
  • Reminder - children should not be wearing nail varnish, other make up or jewellery in school. This is for health and safety reasons. Watches are of course allowed but must be removed for PE lessons.

Below is the Berners-Lee's timetable. Please be aware that this is subject to change on occasion.
