Welcome Key Stage 2!
Welcome to a ‘new normal’ term in Upper Key Stage Two!
We would like to take this opportunity to say how well the children have settled back into school after such a long time. They have very quickly adapted to our new routines and it is fantastic to see their enthusiasm for learning in school. We have missed them!
Already, the children have been re-connecting with their learning through our exciting new ‘mini topics’. In Year Six, children have been using David. J. Smith’s text ‘If the World Were a Village’ to reconnect their learning in English, maths and across the wider curriculum. In Year Five, Colin Thompson’s text ‘How to Live Forever’ is the inspiration. The texts provide an engaging and relevant context to reconnect children’s learning in the first term of pupils’ return to school after the Coronavirus pandemic. Soon, the Year Five and Six Class web pages will have a photo gallery, celebrating the children’s learning journeys at school.
